Presidents Update

Firstly, I would like to thank everyone who contributed to the vision question at our recent meeting.

Many good suggestions and positive comments were made which we are going to use to plan next year’s programme.

Our two advisers from South Yorkshire Federation, Pauline and Sian who attended, really enjoyed the evening and were very complimentary about our W.I.  They feel we are very friendly group and have a good outlook. They stressed they have no concerns about the running of the Forge WI in the future.

At our committee meeting last night Sandra Gregory gave us a breakdown of the finances.  I know some members were worried about this. However, we are in a good position, and have enough funds to plan a good programme for next year and able to pay our way with 40 members currently.

**Ann Claytor has volunteered to become a co-opted member of the committee and will work together with Sandra on the budget until September year end.

I hope this more positive message will reassure you in comparison to some recent ones and you will all continue to give your support to the Forge WI and the committee.
