Meeting Roundup

Last month at our AGM Shelagh thanked both the committee and members for their work and support during the past year. Jan read the Secretaries report of events that happened during the year. Debbie gave the treasurer's report and took questions about the report. The committee was unanimously voted to remain in office and Alison Fawcett was voted onto the committee to take the role of minutes secretary.

Next meeting: Wednesday 2 April 7.30pm Macrame and Plant Swap.

Macrame - please bring 3 pegs to hold the threads and a ruler at least 6”/15 cm

Plant swap - if you have any unwanted house or outdoor plants, bring them along and exchange them for something different! Those allotmenteers among us may have a few too many seedlings - just label what you bring, and feel free to add a few tips about caring for the plant. Even unwanted seed packets can find a new home. And if your plant is too big to bring? Maybe it's still in the ground! Write a description and leave your name - maybe someone else would love that shrub that has got too large for your garden. Please transport your plants in containers which don't drip soil or muddy water through the building.

Book Group

This month's The Lost Book shop by Evie Woods. We thought it was well written but some parts didn’t ring true, eg the tattoo not being seen by husband. Lots going on - could’ve been 2/3 books. Some didn’t like the magic involved.

  • Next meeting: Wednesday 16 April 7.30 Laycocks - The Seal Woman's gift by Sally Magnusson
